Use case scenario:
Safety watch helping dementia patient in every day life
Anemarie from Norway is 75 years old and has a dementia diagnosis. Nevertheless she is busy all the week through. She swims, goes to the gym, takes walks and visit friends.
Her husband Leif helps Anemarie with her daily routines. With dementia it is easy to get lost even very close to home. If needed Leif can see from the map where Anemarie is and help her back home or to her destination. Thanks to the GPS watch, the former MBA can keep on doing his things
They discovered the GPS watch themselves and feel that there's not enough information available about this product for dementia patients.
There are at least 80 000 dementia patients in Norway and, accordingly to 2017 statistics, just under 600 of them are registered to use a GPS device. The Minister for the Elderly and Public Health is promising to do something. Both the police and health organisations are calling for more GPS products for dementia patients.
